In the newly formed Shiniki district of Tokyo, Zen Seizaki is a diligent public prosecutor at the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office. Assigned to a case involving false advertisement, Zen—along with his assistant officer, Atsuhiko Fumio—investigate Japan Supiri, a pharmaceutical company that had provided fabricated clinical research on the company's new drug. While investigating the file of Shin Inaba, an anesthesiologist connected to the crime, the case takes a dark turn when Zen finds a page stained with a mixture of blood, hair and skin, along with the letter "F" scribbled all across the sheet. As he investigates further, the case goes beyond Zen's imagination and becomes vastly complex, challenging his sense of justice and his knowledge of the truth. Digging deeper into the investigation, Zen begins to uncover a concealed plot behind the ongoing mayoral election and ties to many people of interest involved in the election and those closer than he thinks. The case grows more severe and propels Zen into an unforeseen hurricane of corruption and deceit behind the election, the establishment of the Shiniki district, and the mysterious woman associated with it all.

Actually one of the best detective anime I’ve seen. Absolutely crazy first episode and the tension never dissipates!

Batze

Decent start to a thriller that crashes and burns in the second half. It tries too hard to be deep and complex and turns laughable instead.

Amund098

Has really cool plot ideas, characters and plot twists, but they fail to deliver on a satisfying ending. Art and direction is still great.

Aussie Vegan

The first 7 episodes are brilliant but it’s a sharp decline in suspense and brilliance for those that come after… Then it gets predictable

Saxhen

Once considered this on-par w/ Monster, yet the finale left a very bad taste in my mouth. So much wasted potential in an anticlimactic end.

SymbioteSaiyan

Should be called “Babble On,” because I’m gonna be talking about this for the rest of my life…

"We, who hurt each other so terribly, will sit here licking each other's wounds. We damaged goods will each seek the other out in comfort. If you are to die tomorrow, I'm fine with my life ending then as well. But if you want to live for me for one more day,I'll go on living with you today as well. And thus begins a tale of kindred, bound by their scars. Soaked in red and written in black, a story of blood. One of which I'll never speak. Our very own, precious as it is, story of scars. And I have no intention of reciting it to anyone."
