A jumbled mesh of ideas elevated by Matsumoto’s directing. Lacks a thematic core/focus of plot/depth of character to develop them properly.
From the creator of Trigun we have the most bizarre mish mash of Aliens, demons, and Super powered New Yorkers for a bloody good time
Show has incredibly awesome style but I wish it had more of a focus. Couldn’t completely get what it was aiming for.
Flashy direction, strong characters, mostly good visuals and a great setting. Anime original story was a bit shaky, episodic stuff is great.
At first I thought it was just trying to hard, but ended up being one of the most diverse and detailed shows yet, in story and animation.
Good soundtrack and excellent OP/ED. Well realised, refreshing and dynamic setting and a likeable protagonist. plots a bit of a mess though.
HOLY SHIT WOW
