Edamura Masato is supposedly Japan's greatest swindler. Together with his partner Kudo, they try to trick a Frenchman in Asakusa but unexpectedly get tricked instead. The Frenchman, whom they tried to swindle, turns out to be Laurent Thierry—a much higher-level "confidence man," in control of the mafia. Edamura is yet to find out what fate awaits him, after having engaged in the Frenchman's dirty jobs...! The episodes were streamed in advance on Netflix with five episodes every week beginning on June 2, 2020. Regular broadcasting began in July 9, 2020 on Fuji TV's +Ultra block.

Encoder's Notes
1080p and 868p are encoded from JPBD, audio in the BD version is supposed to be slightly better than the one in the regular version, subtitles are a mix of Foxtrot (01-10), Die-Hot (11-17), Team Confidence (18-20), and EMBER (21-23). Subtitles will be updated with either of Foxtrot, Die Hot or Team Confidence release when available.
720p Video is encoded from Warmachine’s Netflix rips and subs for ep 1-14 are from Die Hot while the remaining subs are from RatRips.
Dual Audio is available for episodes all the episodes, with the English dub and the Signs track muxed in from KS’ release. While Japanese audio and Die Hot subs would be my go-to recommendation, I gotta admit the English VAs did a nice job. It’s amusing how Laurent calls Edamame’s accent “a weird jumble of different dialects” when he’s the one who sounds the weirdest. Anyway, I’ve totally omitted Netflix’s English subs because it doesn’t even come close to Die Hot.
Almost forgot, the first 10 minutes of the first episode in the English dub audio is still Japanese because that’s how it’s supposed to be. Don’t come complaining about it. 😀
