Encoder's Notes

Japan Stinks and apparently so does this anime. They say it’s not as good as other works of Yuasa but i’ll leave that up to the viewer. There’s a meme resolution encode at  818p instead of 720p because that’s apparently the native resolution and it preserves outlines much better. You can see how descaling fixes outlines if you zoom in on this comparison: source vs filtered.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

fukuchi△♪ ᗜˬᗜ

Go read the novel instead. The anime is a dumbed-down version, without massive Japanese government political chaos.

i just totally didn’t like this series at all seemed like everything that happened they just shrugged off

Haruo was the reason i didn’t drop this anime, i think Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is a better anime about earthquakes

By all means not terrible, it just lacks a considerable amount of “good” to make it stand out from the rest. Underwhelming is how I’d put it

Devastatingly real in its portrayal of the events. Twists and turns quite unexpectedly.

Found this on netflix and got me interested because of the theme. It’s really sad if you get too attached to the characters.

I make bad encodes and whine about subs and if I'm feeling particularly memey, I make bad subs too!
