Probably not a good idea to start off a horror series with what is essentially comedy.

The Junji Itou manga are great – this anime, not so much. His style is probably not so easy to adapt.

Studio DEEN doesn’t know how to capture the tone and unsettling vibe that Junji Ito’s work gives to the reader. Such a shame.

Some of these are really good and creepy. Some let down the storytelling/pacing of the manga MASSIVELY. Its a mixed bag.

Dismal. Absolutely no atmosphere, which is amazing considering the source. Deen hasn’t screwed an IP this badly since Fruits Basket.

Many people did not like it, I enjoyed it. No, it’s not as dark as the original manga due to colors but I still thought it was enjoyable

While obviously not a great representation of Ito’s beautiful work, it still manages to be mildly entertaining and creepy at times.
