I understand what the animators are aiming for: a rough, old-school feel. That doesn’t mean I’ll ignore all its artifacting. So I messed around with its filtering script a little. Apparently it’s an upscale from 720×405 which is it’s native resolution. Upon further reading, the first season was actually an upscale from 405p to 720p and then to 1080p. What I did is the exact opposite of that.
1080p -> 720p -> 405p –> 1080p/720p
In that last part, I used an upscaler that doesn’t suck as hard and returns a sharper image. It still retains most of the blur because I don’t want to go against the animators’ intentions, but it is an improvement in many ways. Video also had to be denoised a little and lastly debanded with adaptive grain.

Characters & Voice Actors
ED1: “El Canto del Colibrí” by mabanua
Hay algo que no termina de convencerme, al menos yo no termino de entender el como llego a ese punto
if Megalo box is X-men wolverine, Noman Megalo box 2 is definitely Logan. same tone and atmosphere too. jolly good show
*In announcer’s voice* He’s back in the ring! What will he do now?? Let’s find out folks!!
This sequel marks a somber, melancholy new tone for the series, and one that works very well.
With everything the previous season excelled in but having a slightly serious tone and a protagonist waiting for his character development.
Good, i don’t want training montages and silly tropes from 70s, this character study of a boxer stuck in the past is right up my alley.
Washed up boxer on a journey to find himself again, or so it seems for now
