The slow, morbid degradation of heavily flawed humans in the cycle of violence leads to their demise. A nihilistic tale of self-destruction.
This is a great example of anime horror, one of the best. Like Frankenstein it makes you wonder who the real monsters are.
Vampires don’t have to be mysterious, imposing, or icons of sexuality. They can be your neighbour, or sister, or son; prejudice begets hate.
I’ll go as far to say that this is the only good horror anime. At least that I have seen.
A slowly boiling pot of tension and build-up that eventually overflows into a blood-caked and extremely entertaining final act.
A must-watch for a horror fan.
Maybe the best horror anime ever made. Has some of the slickest execution I’ve ever seen when it comes to plot twists. Masterfully crafted.
