God abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce. The "dead" walk restlessly among the living. Granting one last miracle before turning away forever, God created "gravekeepers," mystical beings capable of putting the dead to rest through a proper burial. Ai, a cheerful but naïve young girl, serves as her village's gravekeeper in place of her late mother. One day, a man known as Hampnie Hambart, who is supposedly Ai's father, arrives and kills all the people in her village. Having lost her village and with no plans for the future, Ai decides to accompany the mysterious man on his journey. As she travels the land, the young gravekeeper strives to fulfill her duties, granting peace to the dead and assisting the living, while at the same time learning more about the world that God left in this tragic state.

Encoder's Notes

Lemme quote the synopsis that I know you didn’t read:
God has abandoned the world on Sunday. As a result, nobody in the world can die or reproduce.

Oh no. That’s a big problem. (Talking about the “nobody can die” part.)

Anyway, I have no idea what this anime is. I did it cause someone asked nicely. Now, there’s an issue. The dub from USBD doesn’t sync with the JPBD encodes cause there are some extra scenes. So, I just encoded both versions, pick your poison.

Get the dual audio only if you wanna watch it dubbed. The subs on dual are ugly yellow pgs and I can’t do anything about it. Subbed encode has FFF/Vivid subs so that’d be the recommended version.

Has a good premise; has terrible execution too ;)

クドリック

Great scenario, a lot of savage characters, good graphics and nice ending. 7.5/10

BM_Panda

Great start, good ideas, but plot points leading nowhere and failing execution let it down.

Yokoai

Amazingly complex in a way that makes me rethink life T_T

Aerythrin

I enjoyed it, but it didn’t go how I expected. Still a decent supernatural offering with a cute main character.

“And on Sunday, God… forsook the world.”

the show has its ups and downs, the concept of death being lost to the world kept me watching. but it didn’t hold me like other shows.
