Excelling socially and academically, Asuna Yuuki is on track to ace her high school entrance exams. Her friend and classmate, Misumi "Mito" Tozawa, advises her to take a short break from studying and join her on the launch day of Sword Art Online (SAO)—the highly anticipated online virtual reality multiplayer game. Asuna accepts her offer and soon meets her in the game. In a cruel twist of fate, Asuna, Mito, and every other player logged into SAO find themselves trapped in the game permanently. The only way out is to clear all one hundred floors of the game, and to make matters worse, dying inside the game will kill the player in real life. With SAO now turned into a nightmare death trap, Asuna and other gamers—such as the lone swordsman Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya—must adapt and survive, all whilst attempting to beat the unforgiving competition to the top.

Been a while since I encoded anything and SAO is always a pain to deal with so I figured why not. As if the line art isn’t messy enough, this BD is quite starved and full of noise. It took a lot of time to filter but I guess the delays were worth it because MTBB subs are out now.
There’s an extra 5.1ch audio track included but only grab it if you actually have the setup for it. You’re better off listening to the normal 2ch track on headphones than downmixing 5.1ch audio.
Seriously, go watch SAO Abridged.

Got to see it in theaters, very refreshing to see a new SAO come out, a good story focusing floor by floor looking forward to the next one!
Basically, SAO but more focused on each floor
SAO, but more character buildup/world building
Much better intro! Asuna as the protagonist working her way up was much more interesting than Kirito being strong right from the start.
???this actually had some hilarious moments
SAO but actually good if they don’t screw it up. It’s the best the series has to offer.
Basically, let’s make money instead of art. I am still upset that it’s not a series. even though the movie was good.
